Dayoff Café · Coffee & connection

Iced coffee at a job interview? Around us, it's welcome.

A tiny internet argument gave us an idea: send someone a virtual drink that says they can be themselves with you.

There is room in this line for you and your iced coffee.

Is it okay to bring iced coffee to a job interview? A recruiter's take that it can look too casual set off a debate this week. As Bon Appétit reports, some people see an unspoken rule of professionalism; others think judging someone for a drink is a bit much. In an interview, the safest answer may depend on the room. With a friend, we'd rather skip the rulebook.

So we made Dayoff Café: a little place to send a friend a virtual coffee, latte, cappuccino, or matcha. Choose a drink, write their first name and a note if you like, then send them the link wherever you already talk. It's a thought, not a real-world coffee order or a voucher. Neither of you needs an account.

You can drink iced coffee around me. This is a friendship, not a job interview.

That's one note you can put on the cup. Yours can be funnier, simpler, or just their name. Dayoff is built for one-to-one conversation, and sometimes a small, slightly silly hello is enough to start one.

Someone on your mind? Make the drink theirs.
