Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 27, 2026

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide when creating your account, including your name, email address, date of birth, and profile photos. We also collect usage data such as interactions with other users and device information.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to operate and improve the app, match you with other users, send relevant notifications, and ensure the safety of our community. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Data Sharing

We may share data with trusted service providers who assist in operating the app (e.g. hosting, email delivery, cloud storage). All partners are required to protect your data in accordance with this policy. For the analytics and advertising services we use, and exactly what they receive, see the next section.

Analytics and Advertising

On our live website we use three third-party measurement tools:

  • Google Analytics 4, to understand which pages and features are used. For signed-in members this includes your Dayoff account identifier, so that activity can be understood across visits. It also records in-app actions such as completing signup or opening a profile.
  • Reddit Pixel and Meta (Facebook) Pixel, to measure whether our ads work. They record that a page was visited and whether an account was created, along with a short code identifying which ad or link brought you here.

As with any such tool, these companies also automatically receive your IP address, browser and device information, the address of the page you are viewing (which can include a public profile handle), and identifiers stored in cookies they set. Reddit and Meta may use this for measuring ad performance and for interest-based advertising.

We never send them your name, email address, date of birth, the contents of your messages, or anything you have written in your profile, intro, or posts. We do not sell your personal data.

How to Opt Out of Advertising Tracking

You can opt out of interest-based advertising directly with each company, which applies across every site that uses their tools — not just ours:

You can also block these tools in your browser by disabling third-party cookies or enabling tracking protection, which most browsers offer.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@dayoff.io.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
